R&D Film 1, LLC has filed a number of BitTorrent copyright infringement lawsuits including the Northern District of Illinois and Wisconsin federal courts, involving the film "The Divide" (IMDB-Link) directed by Gareth Edwards and starring Lauren German and Michael Biehn.

laintiff R&D Film 1, LLC's lawsuit accuses defendants of using BitTorrent or similar peer-to-peer file-sharing software to commit copyright infringement through the internet to obtain the film without paying the appropriate license fee.
